We are excited to announce that The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet! is a Golden Kite Honor Book for Picture Book Text.
“Instituted in 1973, the Golden Kite Awards are the only children’s literary award judged by a jury of peers. More than 1,000 books are entered each year. The Golden Kite Awards recognize excellence in children’s literature in five categories: Young Reader and Middle Grade Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, Nonfiction, Picture Book Text, and Picture Book Illustration.” -SCBWI
Thank you for everyone who voted for us. We are honored to be in such great company.
All I can say is WOW. What an honor to be surrounded by so many other wonderful books like Little Fox in the Forest by Stephanie Graegin (Best Adventure) and Lines by Suzy Lee (Best on Creativity) on The Huffington Post’s Best Books of 2017 List! The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet! made the list with Best Read-Aloud.
Teach all of your little roosters to sing out loud! Kee-Kee-Ree-Keeeeeee!!!!!
