We are so pleased to announce that Carmen will be doing the evening keynote on Friday, February 16 at 7 p.m. at the Write to Learn Conference.
The Write to Learn Conference is an amazing annual professional development opportunity for Language Arts teachers from Kindergarten all the way through college level. From incredible keynotes, to full-day workshops, this conference has a lot to offer. The theme this year is “E3: Engagement, Empathy, Empowerment.” We can’t wait to see everyone there!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to see Carmen and John perform and support our local libraries. It is really special to be able to do something we love for a cause that means the world to us. If you would like to learn more about the Friends of the Gwinnett County Library and how you can help, you can find it HERE.

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of helping kick off the Get Georgia Reading campaign. It is a wonderful project whose goal is to get all Georgia children proficient in reading by the 3rd grade, as well as to help them learn to love books and stories.
So often this comes down to finding the right book for you! As some of you may know, for Carmen, that book was Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White. What book made you fall in love with reading?
Carmen will be speaking at the Southern Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT) next week. If you are going to be in Atlanta March 5-7, be sure to check it out. Carmen will be doing the Opening General Session Keynote, Friday, March 6 at 9:30 a.m. There will be a book signing to follow.
Check out the entire program here. This years theme is “All that Glitters is SCOLT.” You won’t want to miss it!
All we can say is WOW! What an amazing festival with such wonderful people. Thank you for everyone that came out to get books signed and celebrate reading!
