One of the best parts of this job is spending time with students and teachers. They really go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and show love for reading and Carmen’s books. Just look at this fabulous artwork!

2018-2019 Georgia Children’s Book Award Nominees
The Georgia Children’s Book Awards and Conference on Children’s Literature announced it’s nominees for the 2018-2019 Georgia Children’s Book Award, and The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet! made the cut! The Write to Learn Conference is an amazing annual professional development opportunity for Language Arts teachers from Kindergarten all the way through college level. From incredible keynotes, to full-day workshops, this conference has a lot to offer. The theme this year is “E3: Engagement, Empathy, Empowerment.” We can’t wait to see everyone there!
