Our very own Cheshire Cheese Cat (a middle-grade mystery set in Dickens’ London) received starred reviews from Publisher’s Weekly, School Library Journal, and Kirkus, when first published in 2011. Since that time it has garnered an E.B. White Honor Award, a Cybil Award, a Parent’s Choice Gold Award, among other lovely honors. STILL. We admit to being all a-buzz about making the nomination list in our very own home state. This is one of those special awards that is voted on by children. Huzzah–as Mr. Charles D. would say!
